Brief post today. I just wanted to let you all in on something that's bugging me. I use Firefox, which has a rich ecosystem of plugins and themes. I've got the Old Factory theme, which is nice and bleak and industrial. I use most of the standard plugins, like AdBlock Plus, and so forth. But I also like some of the less popular informational ones, like FareCompare and, the subject of today's little gripe, 1-Click Weather. Not that there is anything wrong with 1-Click Weather. It does what it's supposed to do: deliver current conditions and forecasts to your status bar. It lets me know when there is a severe weather alert as well. It's all hooked in to Weather.com, so it's legit. And better than Weather.com's home-rolled nightmares that I've never heard anything good about.
No, my gripe is more prosaic. These days, when I arrive at work, the current conditions icon has a moon on it. Because it's still freaking dark out. I guess my real gripe is some form of Winter Blues or something. That moon is there, just mocking me (yes, yes, "The moon mocks me," ha), telling me I should be in bed, cozy and warm, not in this stupid cubicle with a head cold that won't go away because I can't get a decent night's sleep due to Tesla's ear infection which is seriously hurting her all the time, waking me up 5 times a night and making me worry when I do actually manage to get her and myself to snooze for a while. [Run-on sentence: consider revising. Thanks, Clippy, you annoying little bastard.]
